College Readiness

The College Readiness Program is designed to bolster English proficiency in reading, writing, and listening, ensuring students meet college entrance prerequisites. It is particularly beneficial for immigrants and refugees with high school or partial college education, who face hurdles due to limited English skills and cultural familiarity. Currently, Cross Over Community Development (COCD) is developing an English for Specific Purposes curriculum, aiming to bridge English and academic skills for effective skill recertification and re-credentialing. This initiative will empower participants to return to their desired career paths.
